There Is A Very Intriguing Background Behind Capodimonte Décor Products
Just the other Tuesday, I was chatting with a friend who casually dropped the phrase “Capodimonte flowers,” which is something I’d never heard of. After a few more questions, she smiled and said that the flowers were examples of a famous variety of Italian art called Capodimonte porcelain. She showed me the flowers that she had mentioned and I was taken with how brightly colored they were as I had always thought of porcelain as being white and unpainted. Break the lines and find out the explanations of all the ideas in this articles by visiting capodimonte porcelain.

This style of ceramics is several hundred years old, dating to the 1700’s when an Italian nobleman saw some examples of German ceramics and desired similar designs to be crafted in Italy as well. After taking his idea back home, he constructed a factory where these artworks could be crafted and a school where artisans could be trained. These skilled craftsmen became even better at their craft and eventually created the distinctive Capodimonte style of flowers.

As splendid as this tale was, there was more to the Capodimonte than the flowers I had been so impressed with. You can find Capodimonte ceramics that are designed to be different works of beauty like vases, clocks, and centerpieces. All of these are really quite vivid in their coloring and reveal an exquisite amount of detail and craftsmanship. Each piece that belonged to my friend had come from the real Italian artists educated in their respected tradition and was perfectly crafted. At this point, I had only seen pictures of Capodimonte flowers, so when my friend offered to take me to her place and let me peruse the collection, I jumped at the chance. I had to chastise my friend for not telling me that her collection of flowers and other items also included a section dedicated to little crystal figurines that I found delightful. She called these small, cute pieces of art Swarovsky figurines. When she saw my puzzled expression, she chuckled and told me that the figurines came from an Austrian art tradition wherein artists made detailed works with cut glass.

Although the tradition comes from Austria, the ones belonging to my friend are Italian Swarovsky. The collection was very sizeable, made up of small figurines that each had a different look. I was excited to see all of the neat things that could be crafted from crystal, from dancers to sailboats, to cats and bears. Well, I have to say that the whole experience opened my eyes to some interesting new kinds of art and some collectibles that I had seldom even heard of before. I am eager now to enlighten my mind about what other forms of art is out there, but the next time, I hope to take the time to explore the history of each type that I come across.
